Shaheen Schmidt

My earliest education in Iran emphasized drawing and painting. I came to California in the mid 80s. Here, I continued my studies in art at Monterey Peninsula Collage. My interest in visual arts, graphic design and writing can be seen in my illustrations and contributions to two anthologies of local fiction: Monterey Shorts and Monterey Shorts 2.

I work with different mixed media but my main medium these days are oil and acrylics. . Currently I am an active member of Monterey Bay Plein air painters and Central coast Art association. I participate in Art shows, Solo and groups and currently I am getting ready for another big show coming up in March 2025 at Pacific grove Art center.

I love to learn more about social media and marketing and show my daily creative process through instagram and facebook to the world out there..

My vision for sharing my art with the world is to raise consciousness and lift the spirits of my audience.
