Rich Brimer: Plein Air Seascapes
Rich will do a demo of a seascape and how that relates to the plein air experience.
“When we stand at the edge of the ocean we can watch the ebb and flow of incoming waves along the shoreline. As an artist, we have choices to make with regard to what is in front of you. What is interesting? What to keep and what to keep simple or out all together?”
“I will first share my screen with some photos and videos of a place to share how I came up with an idea for them. Then I will change to the easel and do a demo to show my approach to the scene. I will try to show how to approach simplifying a scene to capture it in the hour or so we have to be painting on location.”
