Sandra Schaetzel Uecker
Landscape, Still Life, and some portrait are my favorite subject matter. Growing up in Wisconsin and now living in California, my love for both states is often a theme of my work. I am greatly influence by Edward Hopper, Edouard Vuillard ,and Georgia O’Keefe.
Having earned a Bachelor of Science Major in English and a Bachelor of Arts in Art Education I loved my career as a High School Art Teacher. My focus on painting began at my retirement.
One of my most recent awards is truly an honor since my State Award painting. “WINSTON IN THE BLUEWARE” was selected for exhibit at the University of Wisconsin, School of Agriculture, where the Wisconsin Regionalist Artists Program (WRAP) was founded by John Steuart Curry, Artist in Resident.
I am a member of the CCAA, Monterey Peninsula Art Foundation (MPAF), Monterey Bay Plein Air Painters Association (MBPAPA), Association of Wisconsin Artists (WRAP/AWA), Fond du Lac Artist Asociation (FDLAA) and the THELMA Sadoff Center for the Arts Visual Artisits (TVA). I support/donate art work to Non-Profits of the Monterey Peninsula and Fond du Lac, WI.
My work can be seen and purchased from my website, the Monterey Peninsula Art Foundation (MPAF) Gallery in Monterey CA on Cannery Row and at the Gallery and Frame Shop in Fond du Lac WI
