Holly Cousins

I’m an artist and I get inspired by painting the ocean and still life. Most of my paintings are from subjects on the Monterey Peninsula and from my travels. I also get inspired from painting flowers and various still life. It’s imperative to paint from feeling the subject and creating harmony in the painting. I try to instill a peaceful feeling with color.

I began painting using acrylic and then switched to oils. I’ve taken multiple workshops, and find joy being around other artists. Some of my paintings have been juried in local galleries on the Monterey Peninsula.
