Donna Robbins
I began working in oils, painting primarily in plein air (on location) in 2008 in Ashland, Oregon. After moving to the Monterey Peninsula in 2011 I experienced the thrill of painting seascapes/landscapes of this amazing area. Standing along a cliff overlooking the sea in early morning, discovering one of the old adobes, or finding a special location in this land of natural beauty always takes my breath away. I try to capture the essence of what I’m experiencing so that you can enjoy it along with me.
A Bachelor of Art degree was earned in 1984 with an emphasis on Graphic Design and Fine Art, but the craft of painting the local environment was nurtured by the many amazing teachers who have visited this area and offered workshops, along with painting miles and miles of canvas.
