Amanda Menefee

Amanda is a lifelong artist and creative who has honed her skills over decades of dedicated practice and study. Born and raised in Northern California, she initially pursued veterinary medicine before pivoting to become a high school math teacher. Throughout these, she never lost her true passion for the visual arts.

Amanda’s artistic journey has been shaped by diverse experiences, from her early days in 4-H and horseback riding to her time in the math classroom, where she found creative ways to integrate art into her lessons. After a life-changing accident, she retired from teaching and began to focus more intently on her art practice.

Drawing inspiration from the natural world, Amanda specializes in pastel landscapes, capturing the vibrant colors and textures of the places she has traveled. She has also explored acrylics, creating dynamic murals that showcase her versatility.

Amanda has studied under Randy Wilson, Ken Morrow, Wayne Thiebaud, and now Romanoos Mattonen.
