Diane Grindol
Diane Grindol earned a BA in Art from William Woods College in Fulton, Missouri. Part of her studies was a year abroad in France, where she attended several classes at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Nantes. Diane returned to art after a 25-year hiatus, attending an animal drawing class for years. Eventually Diane started teaching Pacific Grove Adult School classes herself.
Diane is inspired by the natural beauty of the Monterey Peninsula, and loves capturing it in drawing, painting and photographs. She especially loves birds and wildlife. Her “Ink Habitat” series portrays the fauna of the Monterey Peninsula in varied natural habitats. In another life she wrote the book “Cockatiels for Dummies®” and was a contributor to Bird Talk magazine.
Diane Grindol exhibits her art at the Monterey Peninsula Art Foundation’s gallery at 425 Cannery Row. Diane is a member of the Central Coast Art Association. Diane takes commissions for pet portraits and teaches private art lessons.
